The Laboratory of Tribology and Composites (LTC/EESC/USP) has 144 m 2 of the area and is composed of infrastructure for product design and manufacturing from its conception, through the development of materials and manufacturing and mechanical characterization, tribology and phases stabilization.
The main current research project is related to the design of the machine (isostatic presses/molds, spheres generation, milling powders, additive manufacture DLP); compacting simulation with finite elements (FE); manufacturing (additive manufacturing, green machining, and surface finishing), bone substitutes (ceramic- ceramic; polymer-ceramic composites); porous ceramics (membranes, artificial rocks); hybrid wheelchair; hand orthosis.
